I am passionate about where we live & sharing it with others.
Our little green hut is a great space, tucked away in our very own quiet corner of the Peak District. It’s no coincidence of course, we planned it that way. To take full advantage of the views overlooking our pretty little village & its church lit up in the evening, or up to the hills above us where the owls who hoot at night live.
You can arrive, park up & not need the car again till you have to leave. There is so much to do on our doorstep. Take a walk down the hill & drop in at the museum to learn more about the heroic plague story & how through adversity, a handful of residents survived.
Next stop, Eyam Hall & craft centre owned by the same family since being built. Sample a locally brewed beer from Eyam's very own micro brewery before heading onwards past the stocks to Eyam church.
Past the local primary school you will come to the main square where there is a cafe, tea room & pub.
If history isn’t your thing there are walks for all abilities & distance. Why not download one of our suggested routes, taking in the views & maybe a pub enroute too? There are lots of cycle routes, great climbing & even an outdoor swimming pool within 5 miles from our door.
Eyam really is a hidden gem & the Peak District really is one of the National Parks best kept secrets. Come & see for yourselves, you won’t be disappointed 💚
